1.  All clubs need to keep an updated list of all staff members who are required to get Kidsafe background checks and the expiration dates for 2 year renewals.  Clubs submit the Organization Statement of Understanding and Agreement each season and verify these requirements will be met.  Individuals who have expired background checks will be suspended from IWSL participation until a copy of a current clear background check from the IYSA is emailed to us at office@iwsl.com.  There are No exceptions or extensions to these requirements.

2. We will now allow a coach with a valid IWSL Coach Pass for any team in the IWSL to coach any other of the same club's teams during each season.  A coach must be listed as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach on at least one of the club's teams to have a pass issued (hard copy, mobile pass, or Print Your Own pass).  There will now be an entry on the Gamecard request form for the game's coach to be specified from the club's staff of coaches.

3. The use of mobile passes should be limited to situations where hard copy or printed player/coach passes are lost or forgotten prior to a game check-in.  With the ability of clubs to print their own passes the times mobile passes are needed should be minimal.

It has come to our attention that a provision of the Safe Sport Authorization Act now requires that players 18 and older who are rostered on a team with athletes 15 or younger must comply with the risk management procedures that include background screenings, Safe Sport Training, and CDC Heads Up Training. This only applies to U18 & U19 teams that have athletes on their roster who are 15 or younger.

What this means is that athletes who are 15 and younger are considered as youth players while athletes that are 18 and older are considered as adults. So it is not allowed for a 15 year old or younger player to be on the roster or guest play on an 18 or 19 year old team unless all (18 & 19 year old) players on those teams complete the risk management procedures as outlined above. There are no exceptions to this requirement. The 15 year old player could roster and guest play on a U16 or U17 roster as those players are not considered to be adults.

Please be sure that you do not submit any 15 year old or younger players on any U18 or U19 rosters that you are now submitting for Fall unless the requirements of the Safe Sport Authorization are met first.

Feel free to email (office@iwsl.com) us for any further information or assistance we can provide
